Ramiro – Vegas PBS

Ramiro – Vegas PBS

Ramiro is US Army veteran of the Vietnam War who currently serves as the Commander of Disabled American Veterans and the Vietnam Veterans Honor Guard. When he returned home from the Vietnam War, he received no recognition or warm welcome from the public. As part of the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War, Vegas PBS commissioned a Vietnam Veteran Honor Coin to officially welcome home and honor those veterans who served. Ramiro received one of the honor coins at a Welcome Home Ceremony in October 2017, which he says gave him “the honor of being welcomed home and being accepted back into society.”
